Thanks for the bug report. When the monitor is plugged into HDMI, please run:
sudo apt install drm-info drm_info > drminfo.txt grep . /sys/class/drm/*/status > connections.txt and attach the resulting text files here. It might also be worth testing this in /etc/environment: MUTTER_DEBUG_ENABLE_ATOMIC_KMS=0 and rebooting. Finally, the attached 'CurrentDmesg.txt' shows the Intel graphics kernel driver is crashing. So trying a newer kernel may help: https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/?C=M;O=D ** Summary changed: - no signal to external monitor from HDMI port + [ASUS EXPERTBOOK B9400CBA] No signal to external monitor from HDMI port ** Changed in: mutter (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2027631 Title: [ASUS EXPERTBOOK B9400CBA] No signal to external monitor from HDMI port To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/2027631/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
