Just to be safe: this bug is not _about_ inkscape not responding, it
_can be reproduced_ by having inkscape not respond. The bug is about the
wait-icon from Nautilus persisting beyond its usefulness.

i start both inkscape and nautilus by clicking them on the tray, then
drag&drop the file into inkscape; so there was no command line open to
see any errors.

I now started Inkscape and Nautilus from separate Terminals, then drag&dropped 
the file, got the same 'Wait or Forcequit' dialogue popup, but neither Terminal 
registered anything beyond the initializing messages from starting the programs.
If there is another way to see 'error on the command line', please let me know.
