Public bug reported: I have tried changing the columns and rows in profile preferences but selecting more than 36 rows makes terminal to start in fullscreen mode!
I have changed the font size to "9", so using 36 rows I have still lots of empty space on the desktop! Please see the attached screenshot. I had this problem in all of the installation I have done using daily/current ISO. Last installation is made using daily/current/plucky-desktop-amd64.iso 2025-04-15 18:47 Thank you all ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 25.04 Package: gnome-terminal 3.56.0-1ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 6.14.0-15.15-generic 6.14.0 Uname: Linux 6.14.0-15-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.32.0-0ubuntu5 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: pass CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Wed Apr 16 12:50:28 2025 InstallationDate: Installed on 2025-04-16 (0 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 25.04 "Plucky Puffin" - Release amd64 (20250415.3) SourcePackage: gnome-terminal UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug plucky wayland-session ** Attachment added: "Screenshot-Terminal-184Cols x36Rows" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2107459/+attachment/5872099/+files/Terminal_184x36_20250416_130138.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2107459 Title: gnome-terminal starts in fullscreen after setting more than 36 rows in profile preferences To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/2107459/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
