The more likely culprit, IMO, might me be a regression of libwayland- client in Ubuntu 25.10, that effects both mutter and kwin_wayland. That seems to be the only shared component to each compositor. Do you agree? If you want me to raise the issue on some wayland forum or mailing list, please point me to it.
