Public bug reported:

Been trying to import my VPN key into Ubuntu 26.04 using the GUI in
Settings/Network but it fails to connect. After verifying my *.ovpn
file I found the solution on google:

Use nm-connection-editor: Instead of the standard settings app, run the
advanced editor:
nm-connection-editor -> Click + -> Import a saved VPN configuration....

That worked perfectly and my VPN now works again.

This is a workaround.
