Re-posting the report in plain text - my previous comment was
accidentally pasted in diff format.

Still reproducible on Ubuntu 26.04.1 / GNOME Shell 50.1 - likely a
regression of the issue tracked upstream as mutter#3418.

Environment
- OS: Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS, kernel 7.0.0-38-generic
- GNOME Shell 50.1-0ubuntu1.3, libmutter-18-0 50.1-0ubuntu2.4
- Session: Wayland
- GPU: AMD Strix Halo (gfx1151), amdgpu
- Displays: two external monitors, no internal panel
      primary   GIGABYTE G27UP 3840x2160 @160Hz over DisplayPort, scale 1.5  ->
logical 2560x1440
secondary BOE 2560x1600 @120Hz over HDMI, rotated 90deg, scale 1.6667
- Chrome 155.0.8059.39, Firefox 157.0.1

Symptom
Any Chromium window maximized on the primary monitor causes continuous visible
flicker. The journal repeats, every 20-60 seconds, indefinitely:

Window W61 (Watermelon - Google Chrome) (wl_surface#46) size
2561x1440 exceeds allowed maximum size 2560x1440

2561 = logical width (2560) + 1 pixel.

A/B control - same monitor, same fullscreen video, two consecutive 30-minute
windows
      Chrome maximized, 16:19-16:49 : 26 messages
Firefox fullscreen, 16:49-16:57 : 0 messages, no visible flicker

Not application-specific: 132 messages in one day across 4 different
Chrome windows (including a YouTube page and a NAS web desktop).
Firefox: zero, ever.

Ruled out on this machine
- Extensions: disabling the Blur my Shell extension and the Ubuntu Tiling
Assistant extension (gnome-shell-extension-tiling-assistant) separately made no
difference
- Refresh rate 160Hz vs 120Hz - both reproduce
- Non-maximized windows and true fullscreen (F11) - no errors
- Cable / mains power / DSC - unrelated

Note on trigger conditions
Same mechanism as mutter#3418 (client size = constrained size + 1px, the window
oscillates), but the original report required the external display to be LEFT
of the internal panel. Here there is no internal panel at all: two external
displays, primary at (0,0), secondary to its right.

Request
The Ubuntu task was marked "Fix Released" based on GNOME 49 behaviour. Please
re-test on GNOME 50 / Ubuntu 26.04.
