Public bug reported:

Using authd with polkit:

When an incorrect Entra MFA code is entered in the polkit authentication
dialog, no error message is shown. The same prompt is displayed again with
no explanation of what went wrong.

This was observed in the authd end-to-end test run.

The video in that run shows the Entra MFA code being entered in the polkit
prompt. Immediately after it was entered, the same prompt appears again,
without any message. The journal shows that the MFA code was incorrect:

Sep 25 15:57:50 ubuntu authd-msentraid[3014]: Incorrect MFA code for user
"[email protected]", re-prompting

When the same thing happens in GDM, an error message is shown. The message
should also be shown in the polkit dialog.
