Public bug reported:

Environment:
- Ubuntu 26.04, GNOME Wayland session
- Multi-monitor setup

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open any native Wayland window (e.g. GNOME Terminal, VS Code) on monitor A.
2. Move it to monitor B, either by mouse drag or with Super+Shift+Left/Right.
3. Click on another window (e.g. Firefox) to give it focus.
4. Click back on the moved window.

Actual result:
As soon as the window regains focus, it jumps back to monitor A.
It is effectively impossible to keep a window on another monitor.

Expected result:
The window stays on monitor B where it was moved.

Notes:
- Affects all native Wayland apps tested (GNOME Terminal, VS Code).
- Apps running through XWayland are not affected: launching VS Code with
--ozone-platform=x11 makes the problem disappear completely.
- Disabling the Tiling Assistant extension does not change anything.
- Still happens with all GNOME Shell extensions disabled.
