Ok, I have made one for ntfs-3g https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/trashapplet/+bug/106621 . But since the problem with the hover and symbol seem to happen only with external media this should be the right place. Could anyone confirm this? Removing files on external media have no effect on the symbol of the trash (if it is full it should show the paper in trash) and the hover, which tells me that it is empty but if you open the Trash it shows the deleted files of external media. Maybe it happens with every not system/home partiton too but I have only one so couldn't check it.
