Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

Am running Feisty Fawn (upgraded from edgy) on ibm thinkpad R40.
Rhythmbox (0.10.0) seems to be leaking memory, might be something
similar to <a
href="https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/58372";>this
one</a>, although it is marked solved.

I use rhythmbox almost exclusively to play music off of a mt-daapd
server, so I suspect that to have something to do with it.

Right now, top claims the rhythmbox process is using 20% of my 1Gb (plus
2 Gb swap), ps -AF returns

[EMAIL PROTECTED]/leit] ps -AF | grep rhy

The leak seems to be related to the format of music being streamed from
the md-daapd server. When streaming .ogg or .mp3 files directly, the
memory usage stays stable (although the memory it has already eaten
isn't returned), but when playing a stream which is transcoded in .wav
format before streaming, the memory usage rises continuously, e.g. now,
approx 5 minutes later than the previous ps -AF, it now returns

rhythmbox

Someone here might know if this is caused by rhythmbox, or maybe
gstreamer.

The bug isn't reproducible on Edgy Eft, since the rhythmbox version on
edgy didn't play the transcoded streams from mt-daapd at all.
