I can confirm this on Feisty as well!
It's very annoying since I've got to wait 2 minutes for using startup apps like
the network-manager applet or Avant Window Navigator (very useful together with
Compiz).
@Sebastien: I think you should mark this at least as Medium importance,
since all I've done is enable Desktop Effects, install the gnome-compiz-
manager package (available on the Universe repo) and click on the "Save
the current session" button.
