Binary package hint: gnome-media-common
This relates to either Pango, Cairo, GTK2, Gnome-specific widgetset or
the specific app -- gnome-volume-control.
When one hovers the mouse over any part of g-v-c which has a text annotation
the apparent miscalculation
of the text height reservation causes the statusbar to grow taller or shorter,
depending on whether the mouse
entered or left the annotated region, in turn causing the widgets sharing the
same vbox to change height.
