I'm  using Gutsy, but it happens in every version I've tried.

It appears in your lookup menu because Epiphany ships it as a default
"smart bookmark". If you remove that bookmark it will disappear from
your lookup menu.

"Why would you do that if you want to perform google searches", will you
say. The attached image explains it graphically, please take a look at
it since it's clearer that way.
