I have almost the same problem. I have successfully set a wallpaper at some point. Now if I launch gnome-background-properties it just eats CPU time and continuously echoes "(gnome-background-properties:9058): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_composite: assertion `src != NULL' failed" (if launched from terminal). If I click the right corner close button gnome says "Desktop Background Preferences" is not responding." after a while.
I'm running Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn and I don't use Beryl. The system is: IBM ThinkCentre 8114-WY9 Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz 2GB RAM 2 x Seagate ST3250824AS 250GB (Software RAID1) Intel Corporation 82945G/GZ Integrated Graphics Controller The current background image is attached. ** Attachment added: "Background image in use" http://librarian.launchpad.net/7864027/titlis1.jpg -- gnome-background-properties crashes when tiling an image https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/113406 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
