The Search for Files tool (gnome-search-tool) has a drop-down to pick where to
search.
This used to have an entry for 'Filesystem' which allowed you to search
everywhere.
This seems to have been replaced with 'dev'. I don't know what this is.
Nautilus search has the same list, with the same problem.
