I don't want to select, I want to hide everything but the expression. (Hmmm, you implying I'm abnormal? ;-) So are you a 'normal user'? Who is a 'normal user'?)

Normal users may never even touch the location bar, never mind type expressions like that. Anyway, there's Select Pattern for that.
