Doing this from the capplet doesn't solve the problem that /etc/passwd and e-d-s diverge, since you can e.g. also change the full name from the evolution contact editor. The only real solution for this would be to make e-d-s synchronize with /etc/passwd. Maybe that is not a good idea, but having g_get_user_name() return something different from what you just entered in the capplet just sucks.
