I dont mind if this is added as an optional menu but if its being designed to replace the main menu then I would require one change: Having looked at the source, slab is currently hardcoded to use Beagle if its available. However there is no easy way to allow me to offer tracker as a search service to this. It would be nice therefore if you could use GModule or dlopen to load in such a search service and move the hardcoded beagle stuff there.
