Perhaps the answer is to fix up the existing API: http://developer.gnome.org/doc/API/2.0/libgnome/libgnome-gnome-sound.html The API currently depends on libesd, because it does things like server side caching. Porting it to GStreamer and retaining all functionality would involve writing a caching interface for GStreamer. --d -- Davyd Madeley http://www.davyd.id.au/ 08B0 341A 0B9B 08BB 2118 C060 2EDD BB4F 5191 6CDA _______________________________________________ desktop-devel-list mailing list desktop-devel-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/desktop-devel-list
