"Workspace Switcher" (applet gnome-panel/workspace-switcher) "Keyboard Shortcuts" (/usr/bin/gnome-keybinding-properties)
Spent some time looking at Beryl for the past weeks and noticed a really neat feature for changing workspaces (or virtual desktops) and would enhance Gnome's usability. CTRL + ALT + Left Mouse Click and drag to the right would switch to the next workspace (or virtual desktop). This would be an enhancement for the usual CTRL + ALT + "Left or Right Cursor" for switch workspaces because the user would no longer need to remove his/her hand from the mouse while reading material on a web browser. Is there a way we can modify these "workspace switcher" keys to include "mouse clicks" and "mouse movements" instead of just keyboard signals with "Keyboard Shortcuts"? (Just guessing, gnome-keybinding-properties would need to be modified to accept mouse signals instead of just keyboard signals.) -- Roger http://www.eskimo.com/~roger/index.html Key fingerprint = 8977 A252 2623 F567 70CD 1261 640F C963 1005 1D61 Tue Jan 23 17:25:26 PST 2007 _______________________________________________ desktop-devel-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/desktop-devel-list
