After having done some work on it, the biggest change will be the plugin system which allows the Totem core to be cleaned up and some interesting features to be always compiled and packaged separately (eg. that would allow LIRC support to be packaged separately, to avoid dependency creep). I hope to have time to do the same with the backends (so that both xine-lib and GStreamer backend can be compiled, makes debugging and testing easier). Vanity, the never finished webcam app was removed. I also hope to have time to finish the DVB (digital over-the-air TV) support.
