Please keep the focus on Empathy and avoid trashing other projects. Focus on why Empathy is better rather than how other projects are worse. If you really care about getting Empathy into the GNOME Desktop you shouldn't alienate GNOME Developers and Users this way. It is especially important in topics such as this to stay on topic, this proposal is already somewhat infectious as it talks about replacing existing GNOME Desktop applications. Also please compare existing features and not potential future ones based on the assumption that one project will implement them and another won't move.
