As week numbering is an ISO standard (ISO 8601), if you disagree with the standard you could be considered to be wrong. For example, the current panel says that week 1 starts on Thursday 1st January 2009, and week 2 starts on Monday 5th. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601#Week_dates Offering an option here would be silly imho.
