I'm no expert but I think the correct thing would be to put that in /apss/gnome-scan because: - installing in /apps/%app%/ would need you to have %app% provide an scheme for that key (or you would have to provide it but would be a mess to have so many keys) - it's far easier to kill all the gnome-scan setting by removing /apps/gnome-scan than digging into every dir That's my opinion.
