It's just more tricky to know what is relevant when looking at the overall package (like the gnome 2.99 goals). GNOME 3 is a good target to just remove them from gnome-media (and bugzilla?), if the release team agree. Also, I think the Gst gang is willing to deprecate IGstMixer for 1.0, which means that gst-mixer would have to be either removed, or shipped the with the current GStreamer part.
