FWIW, there are a few reasons why I would also rather GTK+ dropped
the script all together, one of them being that I would rather see bugs
reported against Glade for bad conversions than bugs reported against
a convenience script provided by GTK+ when Glade was not ready.

just because Im selfish and I think those bugs belong to me :)

Another, more real reason is that the convert script generates those
UIManager things, and the more the people use the scripts, the more
there will be uimanagers in the world... I'll never hear the end of it ;-)
