Nautilus used to become a memory hog for large zoom levels when folders
containing videos were displayed [1]. This issue has recently been fixed
by Alex Larsson [2] before the Nautilus 2.28 release.

However, this fix is important enough to be applied by all distributors
to all the supported Nautilus releases that are still out there,
including LTS distributions. Is there any standard procedure for
notifying distributors of such critical patches?

Thanks in advance!

best regards,
 Christian Neumair
