That was always the case. The only thing that is new is: - maintainers are bcc'ed - the ftp-release-list mail contains more info Goal of the two lists is slightly different: ftp-release-list: ftp uploads gnome-announce-list: software releases so gnome-announce-list contains more than just ftp-release-list as g-a-l also gets non-ftp.gnome.org stuff.
