That used to be linked to the voting. I hate voting, so I ripped it out, taking unco vs new with it. In current Bugzilla versions, voting is an extension I can ignore :) Noticed that in newer Bugzilla versions you can actually set per product if UNCONFIRMED is enabled or not. I think this is the best solution. So basically we need to upgrade. In general: Thanks all for their feedback! At least with current Bugzilla version, better not to change anything. In future versions, maintainers can decide for themselves what they want to do.
