EWS is the protocol they say they'll support going forward; they've been saying MAPI is obsolete (or at least obsolescent) since Exchange 2007. EWS is also simpler to support, as it's "just SOAP" and doesn't pull in a bunch of bleeding-edge Samba stuff to support a complex binary protocol. -- dwmw2
