Oleksij Rempel worked on porting the recorder to 1.0. He ended up removing the rest of gnome-media (GStreamer doesn't need the tweaks it used to have, and the mixer API is gone etc.). So I suggested we create a seperate recorder project, based on Florent's git://gitorious.org/gnome-sound-recorder/gnome-sound-recorder.git instead. For the record the bug was https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=679381 I think gnome-media should be moved to a deprecated read-only directory (or something similar), and we focus on Florent effort to build a better recorder for gnome. But I can imagine some people would prefer to have the current gnome-sound-recorder ported to 1.0 first. In this case, we could still create a seperate recorder project and move things there, until we decide to switch to Florent's version. regards -- Marc-André Lureau _______________________________________________ desktop-devel-list mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/desktop-devel-list
