In terms of the platform, we're working to consolidate around libhandy/libadwaita. That's what the new HIG documents, and is what we're trying to constrain ourselves to on the design side. So it would be interesting to know what these apps are using libgd for, and potentially track what needs to be done to migrate them away from it. I think that it would be beneficial to have our core apps use the same platform that we make available to 3rd parties.
