I'm building a Sun Ray server on Nevada B70A for a local high school & don't want the kids to even see protected functions. I'd prefer to give the kids Nevada vs. Solaris 10 b/c JDS is much nicer (wonderful job to the desktop developers, the GUI is quite sexy). Wanted to register an opinion on this... In a multi-user environment for Nevada (like on Sun Ray), I think it's important for all the menus to be configurable.
Hate to ask a stupid question, am new to poking around in Solaris source code. I tried to find the function in question & couldn't. I'd like to put a "Logout" launcher on the desktop but I'm not able to drag that button from a panel to the desktop. I'm happy to build my own launcher. But I can't seem to figure out what "Log Out" menu option is doing. What is the logout functional doing? Is it running kill -9 $$ or something like that? TIA, Matt This message posted from opensolaris.org
