I personally prefer using light weight window managers while working with builds, hence been looking at a couple of them to put into SFE.
Fluxbox[1], an ultra light weight X11 window manager is now in SFE. It integrates into the dt's login manager using the same approach as followed by Xfce's OSOLxfce-loginmgr package from the xfce project. Currently it is functional, the default theme (font,background,color-scheme,menu options, desktop icons) is yet to be worked out. A bunch of themes are installed that may be selected by the user (Rt.Click->fluxbox menu->System Styles->Choose the style you like. MerleyKay seems good). No icons are placed on the desktop right now by default. The right click menu options are picked from gnome-settings by fluxbox and is the default behaviour. I request those interested in fluxbox to try it and what worked on different resolutions with different desktop settings and what sucks. I will tweak some of these for a better user interface. regards Shiv [1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluxbox
