The Solaris USB web cameras driver has been updated to support
UltraSparc/Sparc architectures. It is available at :
http://openresources.info.ucl.ac.be/solaris_usb/
It also supports 64-bit architectures (Sun and x86). It is a major release.
Some formats are maybe not supported right now on SUN architectures. The
list of webcams tested has also been updated on the website above. I would
like to thanks 3 persons for their help in this release :
Many thanks to G?rard Henry from University of Marseille (France) who gave
me a remote root access to 64-bit and SUN computers with a compatible webcam
plugged. This release would not have been possible without his help. Many
thanks also to Luis Javier Martinez Martinez and James Davis for their tests
an helpful bugs reports.
I am missing a lot of people who gave also their contribution to this
release by sending me emails and so on, many thanks to them. It has been
tested quite extensively, but I mean it is still not prefect on SUN
architecture.
Do not hesitate to report me bugs or to confirm that a webcam in the
website's list which has not been tested, works.
