Hi Ghee, I think Mario was trying to propose a project which can be endorsed by our Desktop Community. Currently, the LXDE page can only be edited by Desktop Community leaders. To have a separate project up and running, there could be a writable space that people who are interested in this lightweight desktop environment can make contributions as well (documentation, blogs, screenshots, news, binaries etc.).
