For swan users, their home directory are mounted from a nfs server.

but for my understanding, gstreamer plugins will be copy to
$HOME/.gstreamer/plugins/

so the codec plugins for x86 could not be used when user switch to
another SPARC SunRay Server.

users may download plugins for sparc again, and overwrite his gstreamer
plugin directory.

and of course, he will not be able to use it when switch back to X86
Sunray Server.

that's a problem.
