The problem is that many Solaris users probably work in a mixed environment where they may have a mix of newer and older machines running different versions of the operating system. The right fix would be to invest time enhancing the Xserver so that the interfaces can be supported in a consistent way across Xservers. However, we might find an alternative delivery vehicle so that end users can easily modify their system to add this feature if they want it. Perhaps by just simply replacing some packages with ones where this code is enabled. Perhaps via SFE. Brian
