Is setting MANPATH only unnecessary on OpenSolaris, or have the same changes been backported to Solaris 10?

The path issue is slowly becoming less of an issue as most software is being used to /usr/bin to enable "serendipitous discovery". However, I agree that something should still be done here until then.
