IHAC who is trying to use gconf tool on Solaris 5.9 SunRay server to set
Birmingham, AL as his users local city. It always defaults to Pittsburgh
even tho the commands don't return errors.
I searched mail archives and got hits on the same issues from 2002 and
2003, but there were no solutions given.
I'd like to get this working for him. Or even find out what gconf-tool
is trying to update so we could edit it by hand. I had cu trying to grep
Pittsburgh from /etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults. He writes:
"Anyway, here are the locations where I found Pittsbugh - I changed for
all three (Birmingham, KBHM, and bhm). Same results.
/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults/schemas/apps/gweather/prefs/%gconf.xml:
<stringvalue>Birmingham</stringvalue>
/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults/apps/panel/profiles/default_setup/applets/weather_monitor/prefs/%gconf.xml:
<stringvalue>Birmingham</stringvalue>
/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults/apps/gweather/prefs/%gconf.xml:
<stringvalue>Birmingham</stringvalue> "
Thanks in advance for any info.
