<p>videolan  looks a really great package for dvd and video play back... I have 
used it on windows, mac & FreeBSD and it "JUST WORKED!" even on FreeBSD. I have 
tried xine & mplayer, however have never been as pleased with results.</p>

<p>I installed videolan from blastwave, albeit, a much older version with very 
dis-satisfying results.</p>

<p>I would love to be able to present you all with a packaged binary of the 
latest VideoLan, however this is not possible. Instead, I ask, what is the 
possibility of this getting done within the community? Are there any objections 
to VideoLan for licensing or other possible problems? <p>
