You could also go for mplayer from Blastwave and get the mplayer-plugin
source from http://mplayerplug-in.sourceforge.net/ and get gecko-sdk
from
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.7/

Blastwave's mplayer installs all necessary dependencies and after that
you can compile mplayer-plugin from source. I used to do that with gcc
and a "./configure --with-gecko-sdk=gecko.DIR" ; "make" Installation is
a bit difficult. You _can_ tweak the Makefile, but you can also
manualy move the builded mplay*.so and mplay*.xpt to the right
directory. Mplayer-plugin builds on solaris 10 and nevada.
Having said that, I wouldn't want to go back to a 'normal' compile
environment though. The JDS Common Build Environment (CBE) is very nice
to work with. Very easy too, if you run a nevada flavour.
