I filed a bug against gnome-games where it used the -fsigned-char compiler switch which broke the build on Solaris (when using SunStudio). My patch only added the switch and using gcc.
There was a discussion about it before the patch was accepted: http://mail.ggzgamingzone.org/pipermail/ggz-dev/2007-June/002496.html (the login info is in the popup dialog). The last post on the thread (http://mail.ggzgamingzone.org/pipermail/ggz-dev/2007-June/002499.html) mentions printing a warning when not using gcc on Solaris. This is obviously not a good solution. Does anyone have any suggestions on whether there is a equivalent switch in SunStudio or a solution (forcing char to be signed without modifying all code instances)?
