The fact it claims there is no associated driver leads me to believe that the PCIID of the card deviates from what Sun's is aware of, much similar is the case with NVIDIA and network cards (Marvell).
If you need an ultra stable system then you would need to wait for the next release but if you are willing to disavow the fact of unstable software being a requirement as of such case there of your own, then you may only have to wait 2 more weeks for the new sound framework to show up. Perhaps it's already available as a manual install option, but I'm uncertain how easy such would be, no less forget the complexity of the build system in general, a binary representation would be necessary. - James
