Thanks for taking the time to build your own copy! The emacs in Solaris is currently 21.1.1. The fact that the latest emacs also has the problem is valuable information. Use pstack to view the stack in the core file, and post it here. Perhaps someone with a GTK background will spot something.. - Ali
