Seems to follow CSS better and is lighter on resources than Gecko. Admittedly, it's too early to adopt it and use for everyday programs, but I always look forward to alternatives. We'll see how well it fairs in 6mi on OpenSolaris/Solaris, hopefully it will bring what you described to Pidgin. (I don't like some aspects of Pidgin right now, namely theming and formatting)
