I've been playing with Xfce and I like that it uses significantly less resources than JDS.
However, there are a few oddities that happen under Xfce... If I have processes running (like an ssh tunnel in an rxvt window) and I log off, these processes aren't killed. I've also seen the same thing with other applications that have background processes. In Gnome and KDE, this doesn't seem to be the case. Is this a feature of Xfce? When using Xfce over eXceed 11, sometimes it freezes requiring me to kill the eXceed window to recover. If I wait long enough, sometimes it will snap back to life. This seems to happen under OpenSolaris more often than my Linux installation. Last question... I have a user that tunnels in with ssh and runs eXceed. He starts gnome with the gnome-wm command. What is the equivalent for Xfce? Thanks, Gary This message posted from opensolaris.org
