James, Thank you, these are exactly the kinds of setting I'm looking for. I've experimented with browser.cache.memory.capacity and so far haven't been able to noticeably reduce firefox bloat, so there may be an actual memory leak or perhaps the version in my build doesn't have these configuration settings enabled.
