Thanks for the comments everyone.
- Changed section 1.4.2 to LSARC
- Added 1.5.3 section, this isn't in the template on opensolaris.org, so I was
not sure if it was supposed to be in there. I copied it in from another recent
ARC case anyway.
- Re-arranged last paragraph of 4.1. Hopefully it makes more sense now and the
spelling is correct - that'll teach me to put these through a spellchecker
before I post!
- Added comment about the fact that it has been a long time since the last
release of the library, hence, unlikely to be major changes.
- Corrected version number, was 3.4.3, now 3.8.3..
- Added sections 4.6 - 4.8. Not sure what the doc impact is. There doesn't seem
to be any man page included with the lib. There is an id3lib-doc tarball which
includes has some html documentation.

4. Technical Description:
4.1. Details:
id3lib is a library for handling ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags added
to digital media files. While the format allows for tagging
any media format, it is used exclusively with MP3s. The tags
hold information about the file such as artist, title, year
of production, etc..
The ID3 tagging standard is independent of the media format
of the file that they are applied to, they are merely appended
or pre-pended to the file.
This proposal adds version 3.8.3, the latest stable release.
Use of the ID3v1 standard has dwindled due to the fact that it
is now twelve years old and the obvious limitations compared
to ID3v2 - e.g. fixed length fields of thirty characters. The
last revision of the ID3v2 standard was eight years ago and
the last release of id3lib itself is almost 5 years old. Also,
the ID3v2 standard allows for adding tag fields in a backwards
compatible way. For these reasons, it is unlikely we will see
compatibility breaks in the API.
