In a nutshell: Neither Rhythmbox nor Sound-juicer can access / extract Audio-CDs after a first successful trial. Sound-juicer plays them properly, though. Reboot does unexpectedly not help.
Details: I inserted a CD. Rhythmbox said "Rhythmbox couldn't access the CD", Sound-juicer played and extracted the CD properly. Then I found out that sound-juicer would write into an undesired location. I stopped sound-juicer, changed the location and tried to 'Extract' again. Since then it tells me "Sound Juicer could not extract this CD. Reason:Access denied." Restart of sound-juicer and even a reboot (!) did not change this. Sound-juicer still plays it, though it fails at "Extract". Reboot does not help, as mentioned. But extraction works well under a second user account. I already removed the configuration of sound-juicer, to no avail. I wonder which settings prevent both applications (Rythmbox, Sound-juicer) from accessing any audio-CD. HAl ? GStreamer ?
